The Germanium Compressor sports transformer-balanced XLR I/O and a 1/4" link port for connecting to a second unit and producing epic stereo compression effects.

While this unit features the same germanium amp in all the Germanium Series products, the gain reduction element is a high-grade FET circuit that can provide a warm, punchy sound when driven to high compression ratios. The Germanium Compressor has loads of control features for virtually any studio scenario, including Wet/Dry mix control for submixing tracks within the compressor, Comp Curve, which selects the knee using various diode combinations, Clean/Dirty comp selection, which alters the harmonic distortion character of the FET circuit for different colorations, and a handy sidechain filter for precise control of the frequencies that are compressed, just to name a few.
